Childcare Centres - North Shore

North Shore City is has a high number of new childcare centres. These privately owned centres often build from the ground up, so have a big range of facilities. The suburbs on the shore with the largest number of childcare centres are Albany, Glenfield, Devonport and Mairangi Bay. Takapuna being just off the Northern Motorway has several daycare options which are great for commuting parents.

Many parents who work in the city opt to have their children placed in Auckland City childcare centres. The cost can be higher, but often you can visit your child during your lunch break which is an added benefit. For those where the cost of inner city childcare is too high, there are plenty of great centres all around the shore.
