ABC Learning Centres are a nationwide chain of childcare centres. Owned by KidiCorp, New Zealand's largest childcare chain, ABC Learning centres are operated as a standalone brand. About ABC Learning Centres ABC Learning Centres started as an Australian childcare chain, branching out to New Zealand in 2006 with 28 Centres. These days the childcare firm has around 120 centres throughout the country, with 84 in the north island and 43 centres on the South Island. ABC Childcare Staff ABC employs around 1,400 full time early childhood teachers, and 650 support staff. Of their fulltime early childhood teachers over 90% hold a Diploma or Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), or are undertaking study towards the qualification. The centres cater to around 8,000 children everyday. ABC Centres Philosophy ABC Centres are well known for their modern look and fun logo. They place an emphasis on school readiness, with teaching in numeracy and literacy. Strong values are a core part of the ABC childcare philosophy.
