At Paradise Childcare we provide quality early childhood education and care for young children in separate nursery, infant and preschool centres.

Paradise has been designed specifically for early childhood education and the centres are conveniently located in Petone, Lower Hutt and Trentham.

Several alterations have been made to the existing buildings and out door areas to ensure high quality care and education is provided.

As well as catering for the physical and emotional needs of the children, Paradise provides an educational programme based on your child's individual interests, strengths and needs.

Your child will have the opportunity to learn and develop through collaboration with adults and peers, through guided participation and observation of others, as well as through individual exploration and reflection.

The Teaching Team
We have a team of teachers dedicated to providing a fun, relaxed and educational environment where all children and families feel a sense of belonging. Our teaching team have a wide variety of training and experience and are dedicated to providing high quality early childhood education and care.

The teachers believe in a partnership between parents and families, with open communication to ensure that your child's well-being and development is being responded to and respected.

The teachers deliver a high quality programme, using the Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whariki, as a framework. Te Whariki is founded on the following aspirations for children, to grow up as competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body, and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.

The teachers plan the programme based on the children's interests, strengths and needs and plan for the group as a whole as well as for individual children.

Hours of Operation
Our centres are open Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 5.30pm, 52 weeks of the year, with the exception of public holidays and two teacher only days.

Our Community
Our community is rich and diverse in both our locations, offering a wide range of learning experiences. We believe that children should have opportunities to learn through the community and wider world, to make links with home experiences and develop a sense of belonging. Learning opportunities within our immediate community include visiting the library, police and fire station, the supermarket, other childcare centres, schools, parks, and the beach/river.

Enrolling Your Child
